“We had a wonderful time in Goosander, and the hot tub was very relaxing - it was lovely to lay back in the hot water, looking at the many stars in the night sky.”

The dog treats were really appreciated by Ruby! Really, the only problem was with the sofas. They were very low and difficult to get out of, especially for those of us who are no longer young. They weren't really big enough for eight adults, so it would have been really good to have a separate armchair as well. Also, it would be an idea to point out that the pub, less than a mile away, as seen on the website, is actually seasonal and not open in the winter. We were sad about ...

However we all had a great time, celebrating my birthday, so thank you.

About the location

BAMBURGH

Seahouses 3.5 miles; Beadnell 5.1 miles; Alnwick 16.9 miles.

The village’s sweeping sandy beaches and dramatic fortress - Bamburgh Castle - make Bamburgh one of Northumberland’s major visitor attractions. The castle can be seen for miles and dominates this part of the county’s coastline. Today it remains home to the family of the great Victorian industrialist Lord Armstrong, and is open to the public on a daily basis. Although overshadowed by the great castle, Bamburgh village is picturesque with neat grey stone cottages facing a manicured village green. There are excellent pubs, hotels with restaurants and a small selection of village shops. There are golf courses in Bamburgh and nearby Seahouses, and within easy reach are more wide sandy beaches, lovely fishing villages, stunning castles and coastal islands to explore along the dramatic Heritage Coast. There are numerous other attractions also a short drive away, including the famous Alnwick Castle and Gardens and the historic walled border town, Berwick-upon-Tweed. A superb base for exploring Northumberland.

Note: Hot tub available to hire 3 nights £150, 4 nights £180 and 6 nights £220.
