    “Lovely spacious property, dog-friendly, fantastic location opposite beach access, on street parking to the front (usually available), garden with useable furniture, woodburner which was very welcome in March, nearby local amenities and activities (pubs/restaurants/cafes, shop, golf, walks, cycling route, water sports), and easy to locate and check-in.”

    Property was heated on a morning and evening and well-equiped for our stay. Owner provided essentials such as toilet roll, washing-up liquid, tea towels, handwash, starter pack of logs, etc. Sadly, upon our arrival we felt the property could have been cleaner. The floor looked in need of a hoover/mop and the surfaces were dusty and unclean. There was also a few minor maintainence issues such as handles loose/falling off kitchen units and loose door handles. Also, we had not realised the level ...

The property

Mariners House is a beautiful double fronted ground floor apartment commanding an enviable position with stunning views across the golf course and coastline and is a short walk to the village centre with all it's amenities. This elegantly decorated property is perfect for families or couples to relax in and accommodates six guests and benefits from a spacious lounge with an open fire, three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The well equipped kitchen with feature island is open plan with the lounge and dining room making it a great space to entertain in. The enclosed garden at the front of the property with those all important views has lawns and seating and is a great space for children and dogs too. ACCOMMODATION OVER ONE LEVEL (Ground Floor). Entrance hall leading into the lounge. Lounge with ample comfy seating, large TV and DVD player, open fire and views towards the coast. Kitchen area with electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave and island unit. Dining area with large table and chairs, feature fireplace (not in use) and views towards the coast. Bedroom 1 with king-size bed, wardrobe and en suite bathroom with feature roll top bath, WC, basin and heated towel rail. Bedroom 2 with double bed. Bedroom 3 with two single beds Family bathroom with shower over bath, WC, basin and heated towel rail. Cupboard with washing machine and tumble dryer. OTHER FACILITIES Parking nearby. Enclosed garden to the front with lawns, patio, seating and views. Gas central heating. All power, linen and towels included in the rent. Two well-behaved dogs welcome.

Situated just 4 miles east of Alnwick, Alnmouth is a charming resort popular with golfers and those seeking a peaceful holiday. The village lies on a narrow spit of land between the River Aln and the North Sea and was originally the port for Alnwick. Nowadays the area has returned to its unspoilt origins and offers a good variety of shops, pubs and restaurants as well as an excellent “links” golf course and some great rivers for fishing, as well as boasting miles and miles of splendid beaches and sand dunes to explore which afford stunning views of the North Sea. A short drive will bring you to Alnwick with its famous historic castle, The Alnwick Garden housing the Poison Garden which runs guided tours through dangerous botanicals and a variety of pubs and restaurants.
