"Northumberland is a beautiful area for rest and relaxation, with stunning beaches and beautiful countryside. Anchor Cottage is well placed to take advantage of this, sitting right next to the start of the Northumbrian Coastal Path. The cottage has been perfectly restored (as documented by the picture library in the guest book!). The quality of finish is excellent and all the rooms furnished to a high standard. It was great to open the blinds and see the sea from the bedroom each morning. We thoroughly enjoyed the wood burning stove, being November, although the weather was unseasonably sunny which allowed us to walk every day! All the facilities functioned very well which made for a easy and very comfortable stay. The very popular Drift Café was a five minute walk up the road, though a car was required to reach any other 'watering holes'. A lovely place to stay for some rest and recuperation.

"This cottage is finished to a high standard and is welcoming in all aspects. It would be nice to keep this as a hidden gem but that would be too selfish. The wood burning stove was ideal for autumn nights we spent there. "

"The property is of an excellent standard with great views, front and back. There is access to the beach next to the nearby ice-cream shop, if you want to walk along it, or the view from the cottage's bench is just as lovely.
